Kent Farrington

Kent is intent about helping truly dedicated riders realize their potential while creating an environment for horses to thrive as top athletes. His hyper-individualized approach and commitment to consistency in training has yielded great show jumping success for his students on both national and international levels. Kent has coached multiple students to their first international grand prix victories and Nations Cup appearances and has filled in as Chef d’Equipe on winning teams.

Kent possesses a remarkable ability to match horse and rider; when it comes to executing training programs, his vision is clear, patient and precise.

As he explained at the 2012 George Morris Horsemanship Training Session, “I keep it pretty simple. Training horses is like anything—it’s all about being consistent. You do the same thing the same way every single day—it becomes a habit. Horses understand that.” To learn more about Kent’s style of teaching, read Building Blocks of Success by the Chronicle of the Horse and Train What’s Difficult by Practical Horseman.

Claudio Baroni

Born in Florence, Italy, Claudio has been working with horses his entire life.  For many years he worked alongside his father, running a training school in downtown Florence. Working his way up through the ranks in Italy to running his own training business, Claudio moved to America to work for Olympic bronze medalist Norman Dello Joio where he stayed for five years.

Part of Team KPF since 2012, Claudio’s skills as a rider and a trainer have been an integral part of its success. Claudio’s abilities reach beyond his riding. As Kent attests, “Claudio is an amazing coach and one of the best horsemen I’ve ever met.”

Respected worldwide, Claudio’s passion lies not only with the horses but in helping to develop riders to their full potential. “There’s no greater feeling than being part of a winning team and helping a horse and rider reach their goals.”

Alex provides demonstrated expertise and training at the highest hunter and jumper levels. Her 25 years of experience in the sport started with a successful junior career, including second place finishes at both the USET Finals and Maclay Medal Finals. She developed, built, and ran her own hunter/jumper training program before joining Kent full time.

For over 12 years, Alex worked internationally as Kent's manager and training assistant. She operated as an integral part of Kent's success, present for the 2016 Río Olympics where Team USA took silver followed by Kent's 11-month streak as World Number One.
